National Review was founded in 1955 by William F. Buckley Jr. as a magazine of conservative opinion. The magazine has since defined the modern conservative movement and enjoys the broadest allegiance among American conservatives.

Today, National Review publishes a magazine 24 times a year in several formats, including print and digital. In the spirit of our mission and serious undertaking, National Review employs the brightest and best minds in conservative letters. National Review also produces a 24/7 website,, which publishes conservative commentary on major political and cultural issues, both domestic and global, on a daily basis.
